Treatments Available

Our bodywork and herbal treatments are rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, which focuses on the flow and balance of a vital life-force known as Qi. All clients will be offered a tailored treatment program after being assessed by a practitioner at our clinic in Dunsborough. Acupuncture is just one of the treatments we offer and programs will often include a series of supporting services.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture stimulates the nervous system by applying thin needles to acupoints.

Laser Acupuncture

Laser acupuncture uses low-level laser light to stimulate acupoints without needles. It is particularly common in paediatric acupuncture.

Electroacupuncture

Electroacupuncture uses a mild electrical current on acupoints to stimulate the nervous system.

Cupping

Cupping applies mild to firm suction to the skin, releasing tension in the muscles and fascia.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy involving the burning of herbs along meridians.

Tui Na

Tui Na is an ancient form of massage that applies movement and pressure along meridians.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha uses medicated oils and a purpose-built comb to stimulate blood flow and draw up toxins.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine uses tailored combinations of herbs to strengthen and stimulate the body.

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage targets muscles and soft tissue. While not a Traditional Chinese modality, it complements by supporting circulation and healing.
